Yarn Along :: February 15

Not too much to report here. Finished the back of the pillow and Global Soccer Mom. Now on to the front with it's color changes and Simplicity Parenting. So much good stuff in the book that I wish I had it on audio so I could knit while listening. We desperately need some simplicity around here.

    (Knitting around the world is truly an amazing book--primarily history; I might have to buy this one, too!!!)

  4. Steph the yarn is Knitpicks Wool of the Andes Bulky in blackberry. It's one of the few wools I can use without breaking out in hives or itching like crazy. :) Makes knitting so much nicer.

  5. Just so you know - Simplicity Parenting is available at audible.com. That is a great idea, I constantly lend my copy to friends who look frazzled, and then I frazzle again. It is a bit like losing weight, though - once you know what to do, you still have to do it...

  6. Golly, I hear you about wishing for things on audio! There are so many books I'm reading right now (I tend to have at least 10 books going at a time - yes, I know that's crazy) that I wish I had on audio so I could knit while reading them. Mostly the non-fiction ones. I tend to gobble novels, and take my time over non-fiction.

  10. I too haven't read Simplicity Parenting, but keep hearing wonderful things about it. I never think to listen to books and really for a knitter that is a great idea.
